Twinning Just Got Even Better

June 2020

Introducing FREE Go Extensions when Twinned!

Good News! Starting in July, NocTel will be changing our pricing model for NocTel Go extensions. Currently, Go extensions are charged the same monthly rate as physical extensions on an account. Moving forward, any Go extensions that are twinned to a Polycom extension will have no monthly extension fee

What is twinning?

Twinning allows you to pair a NocTel Go extension with a Polycom extension, linking some of their functions together. When a Go extension is twinned, anytime the primary Polycom extension rings, so does the Go extension. Twinning eliminates the need to make complex routing changes (such as adjusting hunt groups) when deploying Go extensions to existing users. Twinning also allows the Go extension to share the parent extensions' voicemail, allowing them to receive voicemail notifications and check voicemail from the Go app. To learn more and about how to set up twinning, please check out or twinning how-to guide

What do I need to do to take advantage of the new pricing?

If your Go extensions are already twinned, you are all set and the pricing changes will automatically take effect.

If you are not using NocTel Go or have not enabled twinning to a Polycom extension, check out our online knowledgebase for information about Go and setting up twinning. Once an extension is twinned, our team will adjust its cost starting with your July invoice.

In Case You Missed it - Polycom is Now Poly!

With the recent merger between Polycom and Plantronics complete, the company has officially rebranded as Poly. While this won't affect your NocTel service or the Polycom product you already use we want to let you know as we transition to using the company's new name.

Moving forward you will start to see Poly begin to replace Polycom in some of our productions, including the NocTel Talk portal, and our knowledge base. NocTel is still supporting the Polycom VVX and Trio lines and those models are still available for purchase.
